It was TY’s last day and we decided to do something new instead of having dim sum lunch at Carlton hotel Wah Lok restaurant.

Dim sum cost only $4.50 per plate. The colours were bright and the ingredients extravagant (imagine having lobster meat in a dim sum that cost only $4.50?).

The main attraction is still the brightly coloured dim sum that brightens every office slave’s blue afternoon =)

I met Xiong and Ms Tan for a Sunday lunch, finally. This was arranged more than a month ago, Xiong and Ms Tan had to accommodate my timings because of my hectic travelling schedule.

I initially suggested 383 Bukit Timah Road but Xiong complained it was way above her budget. So I went through hungrygowhere.com and found something more affordable, i.e. Food for Thought at 8 Queen Street.

What attracts me was they serve breakfast till 5.30pm. Do not ask me why but it suits me well because I am not the kind who will ever get up in time for a decent breakfast.

The food was so-so only. I believe they had added milk to the scramble eggs but it was still palatable. I have to say its a good get away from it all because it is tuck away in one corner of the city, yet pretty accessible (near the area with all the museums).

 

I simply love such hidden gems =)

Lately, because I have been updating my blog frequently, I am constantly on a look out for interesting things to blog about.

And because my ang mo is not powerful, I always prefer to post loads of pictures since a picture always speaks a thousand words.

A few days back, an ex-colleague came to meet the lot of us for lunch and we headed to Din Tai Fung at Raffles City. As usual, i whisked out my hand phone to play with, hoping that I can, with a little bit of luck, take some pictures that I can be proud of.

In case you do not know, I have been using that ultra think Samsung phone for 3.5 years now, and its only today, I realize, it has a certain mode that allows me to take four shots within the same frame!

Ya right, I am slow I know!
