The view on the way from Sapporo to New Chitose Airport
I changed my mind about taking the mid night train from Sapporo to Tokyo.
I bought a ticket on Japan’s budget airline, Skymark. Cost me SGD 250 one way but it bought me a good one more day in Tokyo.
The check in procedures were kind of different from what I am accustomed to. There were 2 Qs. First, I had to Q to collect my boarding pass. I am suppose to inform the lady behind the counter how many bags I intend to check in.

I had a few hours to spare before leaving Sapporo City. So I took a walk around the hotel and realized most of the sights within Sapporo City can be completed on foot.

This post is about the limited shots I took while in Josenkei. For what I actually did in Josenkei, please refer to the spa and onsen post.

Christmas came early for me this year. After the walk in Hokkaido University and The Chocolate Factory, I took a 1hr 20mins bus ride to Josenki. I arrived at nearly 4pm. So i quickly took a few shots of the surrounding before it turned dark.

I took a short walk around Hokkaido University after returning from Otaru cos it was highly recommended.
Can understand right?
So can understand why if I say I do not like Hokkaido to a certain extend? It feels like the Chinatown of Japan!
Nonetheless, whatever happened is between Cheena and Me really…
Thou the walk is short, the view is quite nice I have to say.

I cannot remember what makes me want to visit Otaru at the time I am writing this post. I believe its one of the places highly recommended by japan-guide.com. I have no regrets.
I took the early morning train from Sapporo to Otaru, it was a 45 minutes ride by local JR. It was pretty frosty in the morning, the train was very crowded and I did not manage to get a window seat.

I am back on the train again, this time on 北斗5号, heading to Sapporo.
I finally understand when this train ride is a must-do! The view is simply captivating!!!!!!
I was kind of disappointed when I realized only this morning that I had been given an aisle seat. It was actually a blessing in disguise. The view on both sides of the train was equally astonishing. I was hoping around from side to side, going wild taking pictures. An uncle offered to let me have his window seat. Maybe I was ruining everyone’s view =P

There is a famous morning market in Hakodate, 函馆朝市, famous of its seafood. So I decided to have my breakfast there before boarding the train to Sapporo. I did not bring my guide book magazine since its a market, I decided to follow my heart in choosing a breakfast place.
The market was not at all crowded, unlike the wet market in Singapore.

I was kind of disappointed when I got off the train at Hakodate. This place looked pretty backwards compared to where I came from. The station remained me of those in Europe.

I am finally on the last part of my three parts- 6hours train ride to Hakodate. It wasn’t easy to take pictures for the last three hours as the train was moving very quickly and my Lumix is not able to take picture automatically at regular intervals (or so I thought).
While I am blogging now, I am also taking occasional glace out of the window in case i miss any scenic shot.
So, these are the 2 better pictures from the last 3 hours from Tokyo to Hachinohe while i wait for my next dose of caffeine to arrive =)
