I rushed thru this place, did not walk thru the whole ground as I was rushing for time on my last day in Kyoto. But I am glad I paid a visit =)

day 3 in japan (part II) – Golden pavilion

I must be really tired from all the walking in Arishiyama and Sagano!

I fell asleep on the bus to the Golden Pavilion

I woke up in fright!

I ran to the driver to ask if I had passed the Golden Pavilion. It was obviously a chicken and duck talk.

Luckily there was a Japanese guy on the bus who could speak English.

He told me the Golden Pavilion is ahead… phew….

I was too engrossed in my morning walk, I forgot to take my afternoon does of coffee.

At least, I managed to arrive in one piece.

Took the JR train to the more ulu part of Kyoto. I totally loved it!

This is the first time I saw trishaw puller but I later learnt that its pretty common in touristy spots even in Tokyo.

I couldn’t get myself a decent hotel room in Kyoto cos its the peak season there and I happened to be touring Kyoto over a weekend.

So I am staying in Osaka for the next 3 days while touring Kyoto.

I wanted to start Kyoto easy so I joined the free tour at the Imperial Palace.
