Europe tour part 1 – Day 1 – London

I am suppose to take the 8 am train from London to Brussel tmr, but since there is NO train service from northampton to london on sundays from Jan to March due to rail repair, i decided to stay over in London and force myself to visit those last few places on my to-go list!

 

I went British museum cos people told me MUST GO! argh!!!! its just another, smaller version of lourve!!! i went there during xmas lei. so boring, dunno how u guys survived an entire europe trip looking at the same things lei!

 

I was only in there for 2 hrs lor. at least in lourve, i was still motivated to walk all the way to Mona Lisa and that took me a good SIX hours!

 

Never mind, since i had nothing but time, i went TATE Modern! SUPER KNS!!!!! its another pompidou, just that pompidou is more interesting!!!!!!!!!!

 

so i decided to head back to my hostel (keke, i got a bed in the hostel to cut cost =P) and here i am sitting in an internet cafe, blogging away. which pretty much reminded me that the last time i sat in an internet cafe was in June 2002 in Vietnam!

I DROVE INTO LONDON!!!!

yeah… i drove into london today! not zone1 (paddington and oxford street area) but zone 4, end of M1, the longest motorway in UK linking scotland to london. btw, i live somwhere along this motorway.

 

total distance travelled? 90 km each way!

 

there is a HUGE chinese supermarket at the end of the M1, WING YIP! i bought a whole boot of treasures including frozen prata, singapore curry, Pandan cake, onah onah, quails eggs, tofu, tao kua (I am going to cook tahu goreng next), frozen siu mia, chee chong fan and the list goes on….. and the total bill came up to (hold ur breath) sixty sterling! but it was gooooooooooooooooood fun and an enjoyable experience, its afterall the longest drive i ever had!

 

all these wouldnt have been possible without my aygo… and after this trip, i have clocked 1,716 miles on my aygo (thats 2,746 KM?)
