I ventured further today to Nara. I just read that its a nice place to visit so I did.
I followed m guidebookâs advice. I wanted to take the 9.40am tour bus. I arrived in Nara at 9.05am, hoping to chope a seat. When I arrived, I was told the guidebook made a mistake. The bus departs at 9am during the winter season. But the Nara Tourist Association offered to assign a student volunteer guide to me, Asuki.
Asuki is a undergrad from Kyoto Imperial University. She majors in English. She does this on a voluntary basis cos she needs to have someone to speak English to her constantly to keep up with her English Language.
Asuki brought me around Nara on foot. (YES, 2 bruised toes and several blisters later, I AM STILL WALKING!)
