The view outside my Hakone ryokan at 6.30am (Tokyo time, 5.30am Singapore Time)
I am back on the shinkansen. Yes, I made it on the first bus out of Hakone. I arrived in Tokyo on an earlier shinkansen from Odawara. I just started my 3 hours journey from Tokyo to Hachinohe. I really need to have more faith in the seamless transportation system in Japan. It is really, really unlike that in the UK.
